Our mission

Gritticon Technologies exists to make school administration simpler, more reliable, and more accountable. We build the School Management System (SMS) — a complete school ERP system and education management software for K-12 schools in India — so that principals, administrators, teachers, and office staff spend less time on paperwork and more time on what matters: teaching and learning.

We believe that school administration software should be purpose-built for the education context, not adapted from generic business tools. That means understanding academic terms, Indian fee structures, local calendars, and the specific workflows that define a school day.

SMS is designed specifically for K-12 schools in India — school management software built for the Indian context. That means:

• Indian academic calendar — Support for Indian academic terms, school years, and the ability to bulk import public holidays.
• Local fee and payroll structures — Fee collection designed around Indian school fee models; payroll with support for Indian salary components, earnings, and deductions.
• Multi-board support — Designed to work for schools across CBSE, ICSE, state boards, and other K-12 structures.
• Available in English and Hindi — Our support team is reachable in both English and Hindi.
• Multi-branch for group schools — One platform for institutions with multiple campuses, with complete per-school data isolation.

Our approach to technology

Secure by design

Security is not an afterthought at Gritticon — it is built into the architecture from the start:

• Role-based access control (RBAC) — Permissions at the module, submodule, and action level (view, create, edit, delete, manage) for every staff role.
• Audit logging — Key operations — attendance changes, payroll runs, sensitive mutations — are automatically logged with timestamps and user identity.
• Multi-tenant isolation — Each school's data is stored with per-school identifiers.
• Server-side logic — All business logic stays on the server. The frontend only handles presentation and API calls; no critical logic is exposed to the client.
• Encrypted connections — All data in transit is encrypted. Credential handling follows security best practices with secrets management.
